We will be having our next round of Kyu Testing on Thrusday 5/21 after a short warm up class. All dojo members are encouraged to attend and support those testing!
On December 9th, we had dojo kyu testing for qualified dojo members. David tested for 4th Kyu, Al for 2nd Kyu, Linda for 2nd Kyu and Beverly for 1st Kyu! Everyone successfully passed their kyu examinations and we had a celebratory cookout afterwards! This was a monumental event as a few of the candidates had not tested in almost a decade! Please congratulate these Aikidoka when you see them on or off the mat, these are well-earned ranks!
This coming Saturday, December 13th, Saotome Shihan will be teaching the morning class @ 10 AM. As always, $10 mat fee and bring your own drinks for after class!
We will be hosting a special guest instructor - Guillermo Gomez from Miami Aikido on Tuesday, December 23rd! Consider this your last hurrah before the holiday and an excellent warmup to the Winter Intensive. Here is the link to the Facebook event for more information: Facebook Event

This is a must attend event in our community. Ikeda Shihan travels around the U.S. and internationally to teach seminars on Aikido. He is a high demand instructor and the only way to know why is to see for yourself (in person). We have a significant number of students who are attending. If you are interested in attending and have questions, ask a senior student at the dojo or instructor. Seminars are an opportunity to learn, train and meet new people in the Aikido community.
